The South Tyrol Museum of Hunting and Fishing accommodated in Wolfsthurn Castle in the village of Mareta/Mareit provides information on the art hunting and fishing illustrated by visual arts.
It also gives children information on an entire subject area with specially developed learning games. They can learn to recognise the sounds of animals and their tracks and learn about the fauna of South Tyrol in general. The original interior furnishings and decorations of the castle can be admired on the upper floor. The castle can be reached on foot from Mareta along a nature trail titled ‘forest and water’. It is also practicable for pushchairs and leads past a fallow deer enclosure and an adventure playground.
