Up high on holiday!

Unforgettable vertical adventures

Barriers are there to be overcome. When climbing, kids learn how to explore and conquer their physical and mental barriers. Children are naturally capable of physical movement  with the right tips and tricks, they playfully succeed in climbing trees and rocks and conquer well-secured steep walls. We reveal how you can prepare for such common adventures vertically.

#1: Easy beginnings.
First on a jungle gym in the playground, then on a high rope course or on a boulder, and finally on a natural rock  a principle which also applies to climbing: practice makes perfect. Professional mountain guides and climbing guides show a young Spiderman and a little Catwoman what really matters when climbing in courses and private lessons.

#2: Perfectly equipped for adventure.
Climbing depends on the right equipment. This includes suitable climbing shoes, a well-fitting climbing helmet, a proper climbing harness, an impregnated long rope, carabiners and express equipment  not to forget sun cream, a first aid kit, and of course, enough drinks and provisions for a little refreshment in between.

#3: A high rope course is the goal.
From climbing over a dam wall to adventures on high-rope courses to the long-awaited summit victory – in South Tyrol there are several child-friendly, yet spectacular climbing areas that don't immediately overwhelm your youngsters. We at the Familienhotels Südtirol are happy to tell you the most rewarding climbing destinations in our wonderful surroundings.
