Gain insight into the life and times of ‘Oetzi’, the 5,000 year-old ‘Man from the Glacier’ in the Archeoparc Schnals. Take the children on an interactive journey back in time to the Neolithic period (New Stone Age)! In those days the axe, bow and arrow were the hunter’s only means of procuring food, which was subsequently roasted over an open fire.
Both adults and children are struck with amazement at the sight of replica models and finds from this early period. Children can join in Stone Age pottery lessons, or learn how to make a fire using flint and wood. In addition visitors can enjoy the unique experience of hunting with replica bows and arrows - though of course without aiming at living targets - or join in building a New Stone Age house.
