When the alpine summer comes to an end and the sheep return to the valleys, it’s time for a very special hike! Experience the Almabtrieb up close and discover the paths the sheep travel in spring and autumn. And at the traditional folk festival? Of course, the best festive mood is a must!

• 12 September – Vernago: guided hike to the Similaun Hut including lunch and return together with the sheep herd. Traditional shepherd festival included!
• 13 September – Maso Corto: round-trip ticket included (glacier cable car at 3,212 m, Grawand chairlift, and glacier lake to the sheep herd). Afterwards, either hike back to the valley with the shepherds and sheep or return comfortably via chairlift & cable car
