Max Valier star observatory & Peter Anich sun observatory

The Max Valier observatory is a must for amateur astronomers and provides insight into the worlds of distant space, with fascinating views of our sun and tips for amateurs on observing the sky at night.

It is set in a scenic location at the gateway to the Dolomites and comprises a large 6m dome with a Cassergrain reflecting telescope | 80 cm main mirror with 8 m focal length.

The computer controlled adjustment makes it possible to view 19 million celestial bodies. The Peter Anich sun observatory boasts a 190 mm APO refractor and H-alpha protuberance filter. There is a planet trail leading for 7 km through pretty scenery with display boards and information on the sun system.
