How do check-in and check-out work?
Both the check-in and check-out procedures are kept as short as possible. Each of the Familienhotels Südtirols will inform you in detail about the formalities before arrival and departure.
How are the guest rooms cleaned after departure?
After each departure, the rooms will be put ‘out of order’ for a few hours and then thoroughly cleaned and disinfected by specially trained cleaning staff.
What happens to rooms in which a sick guest has stayed?
These rooms are put ‘out of order’ for three days and then disinfected with an ioniser which reliably kills viruses.
What hygiene and safety measures have generally been taken?
Over the past few weeks, we have worked with experienced experts to draw up a detailed cleaning and hygiene protocol. All public spaces and surfaces that are frequently touched are cleaned and disinfected with selected agents at predefined intervals. For personal hygiene you will find disinfectant dispensers at various points throughout the establishments. Are childcare and other leisure activities offered?
Yes, childcare and other leisure activities will continue to be offered subject to current safety regulations and legal requirements. For example, the children are looked after in small groups. In any case, most of the activities of the unique Familix Nature Programme take place outdoors.
Can playrooms and playgrounds be used?
Certainly, but in compliance with the legal regulations. Please understand that for reasons of hygiene, play equipment that is difficult to clean (e.g. ball trampoline, cuddly toys etc.) is not available.
What rules do we have to follow in the restaurant?
At all Familienhotels Südtirols all legal guidelines are mandatory. In addition, each hotel has taken further measures such as disinfectant dispensers, extension of meal times, disposable utensils etc., to guarantee you maximum safety. Do we have to wear mouth and nose protection in the dining room?
When entering and leaving the room it is mandatory to wear mouth and nose protection. Children under six years old are not required to wear mouth and nose protection. Mouth and nose protection is not required when sitting at the table.
Are indoor pools and saunas open?
The hotel’s outdoor pools, indoor pools, and saunas are open in compliance with legal regulations. Bathing fun awaits you outside. Rules of keeping distance apply here as well. Public pools, thermal centres, fitness studios, and other leisure facilities will remain closed for the time being.
What are the current rules of conduct in South Tyrol?
Both outdoors and indoors, mouth and nose protection must be worn and a distance of one metre must be kept from other people who do not live in the same household. You can decide whether you cover your mouth and nose area in public with a surgical mask, a cloth mask, a visor, a tubular cloth, or a scarf. Between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., being out in public is only allowed for work or health reasons. In this case a self-declaration must be carried.
Can we move freely in South Tyrol? Are museums, castles etc. open?
You can move freely in the whole of South Tyrol and use all public transport in compliance with safety regulations. Please note that currently only 50% of the normal capacity is allowed in local public transport. Museums, castles, and sights are temporarily closed.
Are bars, restaurants, and shops currently open?
Yes, bars, restaurants and shops are open again since 4 December or 30 November. The general rules on distance apply. In restaurants and bars, no more guests may be present than there are seats. We therefore recommend that you make a reservation before visiting the restaurant. In restaurants and bars, food and drinks may only be served and consumed at the table. All establishments close at 6 p.m.. A maximum of four people may sit at a table, unless they are from the same household. In shops there is a maximum of one customer per 10m²; in shops with an area of less than 20m² a maximum of two customers are allowed in at the same time.
Can I use public transport without restrictions?
Yes, but you must wear mouth and nose protection in means of transport, at railway stations, and at bus stops. Only 50% of the seats may be occupied. Tickets are only available at vending machines and ticket offices. All means of transport are cleaned and disinfected at least once a day.
Are the ski resorts already open?
The ski areas are currently closed and preparing for the planned start of the season on 7 January 2021. By the way: after the heavy snowfalls at the beginning of December, the snow conditions leave nothing to be desired.
What safety regulations apply in cable cars?
All passengers must wear mouth and nose protection both in the waiting area and in the cabins. The body temperature is measured before entering. If it is higher than 37.5⁰C, access is denied. Disinfecting hands before entering is strongly recommended. In any case, crowds of people must be avoided. The cabins are ventilated and disinfected regularly. In the case of chair lifts, the bubbles remain open. Further safety measures for the winter season (e.g. information apps) have been worked out by the single ski areas so that you can hit the slopes without any worries.
How are the infection rates in South Tyrol kept as low as possible?
A five-member expert commission monitors the course of corona infections and adapts the safety and hygiene regulations to the respective situation. After the successful mass test, further regular tests of the population will help to contain the epidemic.
