Smelling, touching, tasting and examining: all of these experiences—together with time spent in the company of friends—release a child’s endorphins, improve his or her self-confidence, promote independence, and increase trust in the power of the self.
The hosts of the 26 members of the South Tyrol Family Hotels group have made it their mission to bring children of all ages into
closer contact with nature’s wonders, both large and small. South Tyrol is as a fantastic playground for young explorers. Its varied and natural landscape opens up countless special little worlds that hold many surprises—and not only for children.
For this reason, the Family Hotels maintain
close contact with nature experts, foresters and educators about nature, and keep counsellors on site who are specially trained in teaching about nature. Every year, there are new workshops with experts that will help bring your children closer to South Tyrol’s amazing natural diversity in a way that they will never forget. Running barefoot and feeling the earth or soft moss, sticking your nose deep into the grass and discovering that it smells like chocolate, clambering up trees and jumping over water streams: there are always valuable treasures to discover along the way and many fascinating things to learn...
The
Mini Nature Explorers' Club allows the little ones from age 3 to 6 years to plunge into the landscape. Playing in a meaningful way, transforming and dressing up with nature’s work, listening to legends and stories, and learning about their own body image in a new way: these things are fun, and inspire even very young children.
The
Junior Nature Explorers' Club allows children age 7 and up to put the surrounding countryside under a microscope. In so doing, nature transforms into creative workshop, sports arena, and recreational park, offering many options for games and crafts.
Some of the South Tyrol Family Hotels offer a premium programme: the Nature Detective Camp for little explorers. This camp is an adventure-filled, week-long programme in which children between the ages of 7 and 12 develop into real detectives.
Let your kids have fun in the great outdoors: you’ll be able to unwind and enjoy yourself as well, knowing that the little ones are in good hands.
